Install ModelAudit

ModelAudit is an Excel task-pane add-in for Windows. Setup takes a few minutes: download the manifest, add it to Excel, and your free trial starts the first time you open the pane.

  1. Download the manifest

The manifest is a small XML file that tells Excel where to load ModelAudit from.

  2. Add it to Excel (sideload)

Follow Microsoft's sideloading guide to register the manifest with Excel — you place it in a shared-folder catalog and trust that catalog in Excel's Trust Center. Once the catalog is set, ModelAudit appears under Insert → My Add-ins → Shared Folder.

One-click install from Microsoft AppSource is coming soon. Until then, the manual sideload above is the way to add ModelAudit.
  3. Open the pane — your trial starts

In Excel, open the ModelAudit tab and launch the pane. Your free 20-session trial begins the first time you use it — no signup, and every feature is included.

  4. Bought a license? Enter your key

If you have a license, paste your MA- key into the ModelAudit pane to activate. Once activated, the token is verified locally, so ModelAudit works offline. Need a key? Buy ModelAudit — $29/yr.

Troubleshooting: If the ModelAudit tab doesn't appear, re-check the shared-folder catalog and Trust Center settings per Microsoft's guide — the catalog path and the "trusted" checkbox are the usual culprits. Still stuck? Contact support and we'll help you get set up.
