Privacy policy
This policy explains, in plain English, what ModelAudit does and doesn't do with your data. The short version: your workbook contents never leave Excel.
Your spreadsheets stay on your computer. ModelAudit does all of its analysis — tracing, flow, map, and paint — locally inside Excel. The add-in never uploads, transmits, or stores the contents of your workbooks anywhere.
What we store
To run licensing and the account dashboard, we store a small amount of account information:
- Account email — so we can associate your license with you and send login codes.
- License keys — the
MA-keys issued to your account. - Device identifier and device name — the identifier of the computer a key is activated on, plus a device name you provide, so we can enforce one activated computer per license and show it back to you.
- Subscription dates — when your subscription starts and renews or expires.
- Login codes and sessions — the short-lived codes and session tokens used to sign in to the dashboard, stored in hashed form.
What we do not do
- We do not read, upload, or store your workbook contents.
- We use no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking cookies.
- The dashboard uses localStorage only — to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. That's it.
How we use your email
Your email is used solely to manage your license and to send login codes for the account dashboard. We don't send marketing email, and we don't share your email with third parties for their own use.
Hosting and where data is processed
The licensing service and this website are hosted on Cloudflare (using Cloudflare Workers, D1, and Pages). Because Cloudflare operates a global network, requests and the small amount of account data described above may be processed in data centers in various locations.
Data retention and deletion
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your data deleted, or you have any questions about this policy, email us at iamoscarsim@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and revise the date above.
